Car Auctions in Pennsylvania

Listen, it's the Car Dealer King and I've spent years buying and selling cars at auctions all over the United States, including Pennsylvania. You'd be surprised how many public auctions there are, but remember, some are only open to licensed dealers like myself. That's where the real deals are.

Now, most Pennsylvania auctions let you bid online or in person, which is handy. But here's my tip: never bid on any car or truck without checking it out first. I see too many first-timers fall in love with a vehicle and it goes downhill from there.

I always run the VIN to see its history before I even think about raising my hand to bid.

Pennsylvania's got a real mix of used car auctions, and they're spread out all over the state. I've been to ones near Philly and Pittsburgh, and even out in the middle of the state, close to towns like Harrisburg and Scranton.

You can usually find them near major highways like I-76, I-80, and I-81. Makes it easy to get to them, no matter where you are in Pennsylvania. You've got your regular wholesale auctions, the kind I go to all the time, mostly filled with trade-ins and repos.

Then there are the charity auctions, where you can feel good about buying a car knowing the money is going to help people out. Police auctions are another option, with cars that have been impounded.

Tow companies also hold auctions for cars that have been abandoned or left unclaimed. Don't forget about the government auctions, where I often find some interesting old fleet vehicles.
