My Advice on Buying Auction Cars for Sale at Philly Auto Auction - PPAA

Prices range from just $1000 up to $30k+ for late model auction cars. You can find Philly Car Auction's reviews on BBB.org

If you’re hunting for a used car in Philly without the markup circus, Philadelphia Public Auto Auction (PPAA) is your spot. They mix dealer trades, repos, even charity-donated rides—all beginner-friendly. Auction’s every Saturday (11am-2pm), catering to both regular folks and dealers.

My Pro tip: Their online inventory’s stacked with clean-title repos/fleet cars, searchable with decent photos. Register online (18+, license required), and always preview vehicles digitally first. Bonus: Inventory pulls from Camden, Cherry Hill, Wilmington—so variety’s solid. Oh, and grab a cheesesteak while you’re at it.

Everything’s as-is (duh), paid online—no cash. Win a car? Tow it out by 8pm that day (tow trucks: pre-register). PPAA’s legit, but Philly auctions aren’t playgrounds.

Scope your targets hard—I’ve seen guys fist-pump over a “steal” only to find a squirrel condo under the hood. Bid smart, or pay dumber.
