Auction Dates, Locations, and My Tips & Advice on Both Dealers & Public Auto Auctions in MD

I'm the Car Dealer King and I've put together this list of Maryland auto auctions because, like you, I'm hooked on the thrill of the bidding process. You'll find online and in-person options, with some locations even offering "buy it now" deals if you'd rather skip the auction altogether.

The great thing about public car auctions in Maryland is that you don't need a special license to participate – a valid ID is all you need. That's it. No membership fees or other gimmicks.

My Advice: Before raising your hand to bid in the auction, give the cars a good once-over. Don't get fixated on just one vehicle. Instead, have a few options in mind to increase your chances of getting a good deal.

Remember, a VIN check is your best friend. Pay close attention to the auctioneer's announcements, and don't hesitate to ask questions about the rules.

The staff are there to help newcomers learn the auction process, so you're in good hands. Almost everyone at a public car auction in MD is a beginner, so do not worry about that.
