I've been buying and selling cars for a good while now, and let me tell you, these tow company auctions can be a bit of a wild card. K.O. Towing, they're a reliable towing outfit in Georgia, but they're not exactly used car specialists. They hold these auctions every month in Marietta and Suwanee, selling off cars that have been abandoned or left unclaimed.

Here's the deal: when a car gets impounded in Georgia, the owner has 30 days to pay the fees and get it back. If they don't, K.O. Towing can auction it off. From what I've seen, the cars that end up at these auctions can be in any kind of condition. Some might be decent, but honestly, most of them need a fair bit of work.

They auction off all sorts – cars, trucks, motorcycles, even the occasional utility trailer. But here's the kicker: they sell everything "as is." No warranties, no guarantees. K.O. Towing doesn't inspect these vehicles, so you're basically buying blind.

My advice? Always inspect a car before you bid. Once you've bought it, you'll get a Bill of Sale and can then get the title from the Georgia DMV.
