Johnny's Auto Auction in San Diego, California - Open to the Public

Johnny's Auto Auction (Formerly known as Johnny Cash Auto Auction) is a public car auction in California located in the San Diego area. Car auctions are every Monday and Thursday at 10am.

They feature wholesale used cars and trucks from the socal area from dealer consignments, finance company and bank repos, trade-ins, donated vehicles, and more. I like that they have an iOS app for viewing their inventory and getting auction information. More auctions are embracing helpful apps for their customers and I am digging that trend.

I also recommend them if you need to sell your own car (click to read my guide).  Johnny's Auto Auction provides a secure facility and can assist with transportation services and towing. Also, I have seen them offer customers cash on the spot for a quick sale if they do not want to wait for it to sell in the auction.

Johnny's Auto Auction is one of many public car auctions in the Otay Mesa area of San Diego near the Tijuana border. This is the ultimate auto auction hotspot in the United States with half a dozen or so locations operating all week long.
